1. Can you share the secret to CONTORA’s success? What distinguishes you from other office space providers on the market? 

Our secret to success in business is the great cooperation we have with our customers and partners. Our aim is a strong and trustful relationship. Many customers have relied on us for several years now and are recommending us as they are convinced by the services rendered. We believe that “customer is king,” and there is a solution for nearly any customer requirement.

I also believe the real value of CONTORA Office Solutions lies in the combination of great addresses and excellent service. Our offices are located in astonishing landmark buildings fitted with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure and run by the best-trained multilingual service staff. What’s more, we are intentional when it comes to our partnerships. Our partners include a producer of exclusive furniture and interior design, an IT solutions provider, and, for some time now, ShareSpace – a digital office space marketplace.

2. How do you create the strong customer relationships you mentioned. What are some ways in which you build a sense of community with your clients?

Personal contact is extremely important to us – starting from our first interaction and throughout the whole customer journey. We strive for customer satisfaction, and a trustful relationship – the good, old values like reliability, trust, liability, and good manners will always be appreciated. What is also needed is a good insight into the daily work of our clients and their feedback which allows us to improve continually.

At CONTORA, we also print a bi-annual office magazine, which features interviews with customers from our various office locations. For example, it can look like our customer from CONTORA Upper West in Berlin talking about his company in light of an office solution we offer. This way, we give our customers the room to introduce themselves to our community while also giving more insight into the office solutions offered by us.

3. CONTORA has been working with ShareSpace for some time now. What would you say are the biggest benefits of this partnership? 

The biggest benefit of CONTORA Office Solutions working with ShareSpace has been the simplicity of the collaboration right from day one. Anyone requiring an individual representative office with exclusive furniture and state-of-the-art technology or one of our lovely meeting or conference rooms will find our availability on the ShareSpace platform and can book it directly. Thanks to the personal contact with a ShareSpace Advisor, our requests and questions were always taken care of in a very helpful, prompt, and cordial manner. Moreover, we have the opportunity to offer our products and services to a broader public, such as companies in Poland. Another big benefit is the large number of pictures that can be uploaded on ShareSpace to give the prospects the best insight even if they have not been to the centers yet. We profit from the payment terms as this service is taken care of by ShareSpace. This saves our accounting department time so that we can use it to care for our customers. 

4. The Covid-19 pandemic significantly marked the last two years. How has it impacted CONTORA Office Solutions?

Times of pandemic and other crises can change the realities of businesses in many ways. This includes working remotely from a home office, needing more space to ensure sufficient distance from one another, or using our video conferencing devices for important meetings that cannot be held in person. At the same time, nowadays, nearly everyone uses apps or portals to tackle their day-to-day business challenges. For this reason, we support our customers with additional services like scanning their incoming mail (OCR recognition). Despite the changing focus and the challenges of the last years, we took this opportunity and decided to offer our products to a broader public via ShareSpace.

5. Can you tell us more about some of the products you offer to your clients, especially some you have launched most recently?

Progress and further development of the business model are just as important for us as for our customers and partners. It is necessary to move with the times and adapt to present and new requirements and tech developments. In the past, we focused on offering offices for individuals and teams, but, seeing the need for greater flexibility on the market due to Corona, we launched new products such as the “Business Club Prime,” the “Corporate Office,” and the “Law Firm Registered Office,” all of which proved to be a success.

Through “Business Club Prime” we wanted to give our customers located in CONTORA’s bigger Office Centers a choice where they can work from an individual office, or if they would like they can work from common lounge areas and meet with other clients. We arranged a joint working area for six workstations in CONTORA Hamburg Alter Wall. If a customer chooses to rent his or her dedicated desk in the shared office, it still comes with company registration, internet, telephone, and company signage, coffee, water, and everything included, but at a lower price than an individual office. While previously individual offices started at 1490 Euro per month, the price for the Business Club Prime (in Hamburg) is 590 Euro net per month.

“Corporate Office” solution is an office for companies that, for example, have six employees, but only three of them are in the office at one time. This means they don’t need a large space with six workstations; they only need the team office with three workstations while also getting three more keys and access cards basing their timetable on a rotation system. It’s much more cost-efficient this way.

6. Can you give us some insight into what the future of CONTORA looks like?

For our long-term customers who have been with us nearly from day one, the changes we are undergoing are obvious: bigger centers with numerous lounge areas and an opportunity for customers to network. Looking back, over the last 10 years, CONTORA has grown from one center in Munich to nine centers in five of the most important business centers around Germany: Munich, Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg. The most recent center in Frankfurt Marienturm opened in November 2021, and our next step is opening a center in Stuttgart Kronprinzenpalais at the end of this year.

Going forward, we will focus on our core competency, but this doesn’t mean we are slowing down. I am sure that we will continue to grow, and customers will soon be able to enjoy our offices and conference rooms abroad – also via ShareSpace. We are all already looking forward to this.
