We visited Bogdan Bancila, DIGITALL’s Warsaw Hub Manager, at the company’s new office to learn more about who they are, what they look for in a workspace, and how ShareSpace optimized their recent office search experience.

Before we get into the office finding process itself, can you tell us more about DIGITALL?

How would you describe your company’s work model?
We believe the future of work is hybrid. In a hybrid work model, employees have more flexibility and the possibility to find the right work-life balance for them. We have implemented such a work model in all our offices, giving our employees the freedom to choose and set up the right framework for themselves in terms of both variable working hours and location.
DIGITALL has over 28 offices in 13 countries in Europe and North America and has recently expanded to Poland, opening recruitment for several positions. Tell us more about what makes your company such an attractive place to work?
DIGITALL operates on a global scale, employing 1,500 people. In 2021, within less than 6 months, we hired over 400 new experts, and we are now growing our global team further.
We offer flexibility in terms of working conditions and also have some great programs and benefits which are aimed at providing the best environment for our employees. For example, the “Welcome Back” program, launched in 2022, intends to encourage women in their return to work after maternity leave or longer career breaks. The program is running in all of our offices, including our Hub in Warsaw.
This year, we were recognized as Top Digital Transformation Services Provider – Pan-European for our outstanding expertise and contribution in the sphere of Digital Transformation in Central and Eastern Europe at the CEE Business Services Awards in Warsaw. 2022 and 2021, we were named one of the best middle-sized employers in Germany by Focus magazine. In those same years, Handelsblatt Fair Company (the largest and best-known employer initiative in Germany with a sustained commitment to a fair working environment) recognized DIGITALL as a “Fair Company.” In 2021, we received two awards for our Young Talents Program and were identified as a company offering top training conditions and top training opportunities for young talent. What did DIGITALL – a “European leader in Digital Transformation & Cloud Experience” look for in their new Warsaw office?
We want our employees to have a good work environment, to feel like they are in their second home at the office. When looking for a new office, we look for Class A, multi space-oriented floor layouts located in the proximity of public transport hubs, which can successfully support a wide range of hybrid workplace scenarios.
The ideal office for us is a vital mixture of shared areas, quiet corners, meeting and collaboration spaces, and dedicated offices with a lot of openable windows and natural light and CAT 6 or higher cable network infrastructure.
How did the office you found with ShareSpace match this expectation?
Our office in Mennica Legacy tower offers easy access to the right tools. It’s a great space where we can collaborate – we can see this already. There is a good meeting room availability as well as great spaces to meet with clients. It’s also a fun place to work – you can interact with other companies and can have some fun and games in some areas of the office. This is what we were looking for, and it was executed in a matter of hours. It was also very important for us to have the office located in the heart of Warsaw. This district is very well-connected from the public transport perspective.

What sort of value does your office offer to your staff, their productivity, and workplace satisfaction?
While it was really important for us to keep our global team at DIGITALL safe during the last two years of the pandemic, it’s also really important for people to come to the office from time to time to socialize and meet their colleagues. Virtual communication and collaboration are good, but real-life contact is also really important. We want to facilitate a safe environment and good communication in the office. In order to understand each other better, it’s important to meet occasionally – it allows us to get the best out of our diverse cultures.
Though we have just opened our Warsaw Hub at the beginning of May, I am positive that the experts we will soon on-board will be eager to meet each at the new office. I am sure our team will feel the positive impact of a collaboration space available for them 24/7.
