Could you give us a short introduction to WOO Network? What do you do?
WOO Network is an ecosystem offering a wide range of cryptocurrency-related products and services, including a centralized exchange – WOO X and a decentralized exchange – WOOFi.The company was incubated by Kronos Research, a cryptocurrency quantitative multi-strategy firm trading 5-10 billion US Dollars on global exchanges daily and is the main market maker of WOO Network. Our office in Warsaw is now hosting Kronos Trading Global – the first cryptocurrency trading floor established by Kronos.
How would you describe the work model at the WOO Network?
A lot is done online from different time zones. We work with digital businesses, digital currencies, and digital assets, so our work model is decentralized. Though we have several physical locations, a lot of our team members also work remotely from different parts of the world. No matter where we’re working from it’s very important for us to stay connected.
What are the benefits of working from an office for a decentralized company?
For us, having a physical office is great for staying efficient, staying connected, and staying happy because some things like having lunch together and making jokes can’t happen when you’re working from home. This is even more important for KTG traders. When staying in the office they have the ability to share, discuss, observe, and co-learn. Staying together also gives them a better way to control their emotions and manage risks, which is a huge part of a successful trading strategy.

What were your most important requirements as a company during your office search process?
As a tech company, having a ventilated server room, brand-new equipment, and powerful gadgets is vital. We also always consider room for expansion. WOO Network plans to hire 100+ employees in Europe, so our offices need to accommodate them all.
We always try to cover the needs of all our teams such as taking photos and recording videos, and audio by the tech and marketing team, so we need some closed and quiet areas.
Recreation is important too, our Warsaw office has a ping pong table!
How do the WOO employees feel about the new office?
Very relaxed, though offices in high-rise buildings often present more corporate culture, like some we see on other floors, our office is not like that. We’re free to walk around, talk, grab a coffee, or play ping pong. The WOO Network is an environment where all the traders share their experiences with one another. It’s very important therefore to establish a friendly space where all can feel connected.
What challenges does having a physical office solve for you at WOO?
When it comes to teams successfully staying decentralized, there are cases where an office is vital. Marek Chajecki and Piotr Wojdat, the leaders of Kronos Trading Global always say that “staying together is the key to success.”
“A challenge that a physical office solves, especially for marketing or product teams, is that it can be pretty hard to get creative when you’re isolated, right? You can have tons of resources and videos, but it’s different from when you’re sitting and talking with another person. Teams can brainstorm and come up with better solutions.”
